Want to be an amateur scientist while helping our community?
Grab your lab coat and gardening gloves and join the Dalhousie Community Garden volunteers Friday, May 8 at 5:00 pm. We will gather information and test the soil in our new community garden space!
We need to know the 5 Ws about the underground ecosystem so we can amend the soil correctly and plan the right types of native and hardy species to thrive.
This family-friendly event brings you closer to our urban natural area that we are in the process of beautifying and remediating, and helps you understand the soil in your own yard better, too!
The coordinators will facilitate the testing process, so no previous knowledge is needed.
