A pilot program in partnership with Safer Cycling Calgary

Safe Cycling Foundations is a small-group, skills-based cycling program designed to help new and novice riders build confidence in a safe, supportive environment. This pilot program focuses on core cycling skills and safety fundamentals for both adults and children.

9:00–12:00 | First-Time Riders (Ages 14+)

This session is designed for adults and older youth who are learning to ride a bicycle for the first time.

  • Maximum of 4 participants

  • For riders who have little to no prior cycling experience

  • Focus on balance, starting, stopping, and basic control

$105.00* including GST per participant. *a small processing fee is added to all card payments

1:00–4:00 | Novice Kids (Ages 7 – 13 years old)

This session is open to children who can already ride but want to improve their skills and confidence.

  • Maximum of 6 participants

  • Open to riders ages 7 to 13

  • Participants must already be able to:

    • Ride without training wheels
    • Start independently
    • Stop using bike brakes
    • Turn in both directions

$45.00* including GST per participant. *a small processing fee is added to all card payments.
