Outdoor Seasonal Workshop - Front Step Arrangement
Creating your own seasonal arrangement from cut greens and other natural materials is a great way to express your creativity and add some fun back into the preparations for the season, whether you celebrate the Winter Solstice, Christmas, Chanukah or just love to decorate your homes for the festive season.
This workshop with Janet Melrose (Calgary’s Cottage Gardener) looks at:
- The history of decorating our homes with greens for the winter festivities
- Elements of design for cut greens arrangements
- Types of greens that can be used and their uses in arrangements
- Instruction: so you create a professional and well-crafted arrangement yourself to take home
- Tips and Tricks to make your arrangement the best it can be
- A selection of decorations to add Festive glitz or a Nature themed arrangement
- Information on care for your seasonal arrangement so that it lasts well into February.

- $90 +GST for DCA Members

Workshop Includes:
- Supplies (8” mache container, pre- filled with floral oasis, Greens – cedar, fir, pine, spruce, Decorations- cones, dogwood sticks, berries, balls and ribbon, etc)
- Pruners, gloves and any other tools needed
*All supplies provided except large pot not included
