FREE Seniors and AISH tax clinic in Dalhousie
Unison and the Dalhousie Community Association are offering the FREE Senior and AISH Tax Clinic again for 2026.
Seniors and AISH tax clinic will be held weekly from March 3 to April 28, 2026 from 9:00am – 3:30pm on Tuesdays at the DCA. (No clinic March 10)

Eligibility for tax clients:
- Age 55+ or AISH (age no bar)
- Single income less the $40,000 or Couple (married or common law) combined income below $55,000.
*In all cases, we can not process any taxes that involve: Business income/self-employment, Rental income, or dealing with bankruptcy.
What to bring for your appointment?
- Government Issued Identification
- Clients must bring all their T slips
- Last year’s tax return/Notice of assessment
- Annual Medical expense printout from their pharmacy
- Donation receipts if any
- Appointment for a Single for 1 year: 20 min
- Appointment for a Couple for 1 year: 40 min
NOTES:
- Tax drop-offs are also available. Clients who wish to drop off their tax slips must complete the required form, which is available at the DCA office. These forms include a consent authorization allowing the tax preparer to e-file and autofill the tax return on the client’s behalf.
- During March and April, we can only assist with maximum 2 years of tax returns (2024 and 2025). If any client needs help with more years of tax returns, they can drop off the documents and Peter can file them when there is a no show.
- Clients needing help with filing a deceased return can be referred to Unison at Kerby Centre. In no case can we assist with estate tax filing.
