We are proud to introduce the Dalhousie Farmers’ Market Coupon Program, a brand-new initiative launching this Summer Market season.
At the Dalhousie Farmers’ Market, we are committed to reducing food insecurity and improving social inclusion. The program strengthens access and inclusion while bringing $20,000 in spending directly to our vendors.
Thanks to a $25,000 grant from the Calgary Foundation, the Dalhousie Farmers’ Market will become the first farmers’ market in Calgary and only the second in Alberta to offer a market-wide coupon program like this.
Programs like this have been running successfully for years in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Nova Scotia, and we are thrilled to bring this proven, well-loved model to Alberta.
Participation in the Coupon Program is required for all Summer Market vendors, but we have intentionally designed it to be simple, low-effort, and vendor-friendly. You will find all the details in the FAQ section.
